Behold! The mighty…Behold…er…

Ixkavar proved to be more inquiring friend than foe when the heroes have managed to navigate his dangerous lair in the ruins of a forgotten jungle city.

the ahuizotl is one of my favorite creatures to included in stories and adventures, and was included in the Runa bestiary chapter.

This piece started as me just moving my hand without any idea what I was drawing. I slowly started to scribble what looked like a spindly arm, then a husk of a hunched form…instead of trying to flesh out what I vomited onto the page, I decided to try my hand at some more unsettling creature designs than I normally create.

A Slavic folklore creature who is just as likely to infect you with their strange sickness, as they are to cure your ailments (particularly those brought on by them). There are conflicting stories as to the length of benevolence the bagiennik exudes.
